Now Hiring: Research Study Positions

August 12, 2025

This September, we’re launching a lifestyle intervention study at a senior independent living community in Wallingford, CT. Seeking applicants for research assistants, group fitness instructors, and mindfulness facilitators who can commit to the 1-year study period. Position and application details below:

Research Assistants

We are seeking two Research Assistants who will be the “face of the study” at the intervention site and responsible for supporting the successful implementation of the research study. They will serve as the liaison between the research team and the participants. Primary responsibilities will include recruiting and enrolling study participants, facilitating study implementation, and maintaining regular, professional communication with study participants and staff.

Group Fitness Instructors

We are seeking certified Personal Trainers, Physical Therapists, or Group Fitness Trainers to be trained in the AMBR (Adaptive Mind Body Resilience) method by the program’s founders. Once trained, instructors will lead AMBR classes designed to help participants improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, increase mobility, and improve strength and body resilience. As an AMBR Instructor, you will teach group classes, guiding participants through body scans, breath work, mindful movement, and movements that enhance their mobility and help alleviate discomfort from muscle tightness or imbalance.

Mindfulness Facilitators

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Mindfulness Facilitators to lead small group meditation and sharing sessions for independent older adults. The role involves guiding 2 one-hour sessions one day a week or 4 one-hour sessions across two days with groups of up to 20 individuals.
